ANTONIO ARREDONDO
ALAMO – Antonio Arredondo, 91, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Antonio was born in Mexico and lived in Alamo for 47 years.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, Juan Javier Arredondo.
Mr. Arredondo is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Arredondo of Alamo; seven children, San Juanita (Zeferino) Silva, Elia A. (Manuel) Rodriguez, Martha Arredondo, Mario Antonio (Sonia) Arredondo, Ruben Arredondo, all of Alamo, Ricardo (Carmen) Arredondo of Pharr, Alex (Heather) Arredondo of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbearers will be Mario A. Arredondo, Ruben Arredondo, Ricardo Arredondo, Alex Arredondo, Gilbert Silva and David Rodriguez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
