Newspaperman turns to donuts Alamo grand opening set for this Wednesday

So what’s a newspaper guy like Arnoldo Mata doing in the donut business? Ink and glaze? An unlikely combination perhaps. But like so many Baby Boomers are finding out these days, it’s never too late to try something new in life. Mata’s busy this week getting ready for the grand opening of his new donut shop in Alamo this Wednesday, but took time to reflect on his long work in the newspaper industry and how that all led to his current Arnoldo Mata passion: donuts.
